JBL Clip 2 Overview
As the title says, the JBL Clip 2 is a lightweight Bluetooth speaker that can be clamped into a backpack, belt strap, or something else, thanks to its built-in belt loop. Yet that isn't the only collective feature. It is also waterproof, has built-in lead, and facilitates wireless power line networking, rendering it an incredibly potent compact speaker.
The JBL Clip 2 is all about compatibility and is masterfully designed to assist you on journeys, no matter where you're headed. A waterproof casing ensures that you can use it at the beach or swimming pools, and the optional belt clip lets you put it on your bag for a walk. There's an installed-in stereo cord for cabled playback, and the speaker's voluptuous appearance makes it quite strong.
DESIGN
The Clip 2 maintains the hockey puck appearance of the first Series, but nothing else has remained the same. The fabric material covers the rigid speaker shield on the front, making it a more sleek style. The embedded belt clip is now also more adjustable. Instead of having a consistent loop that is part of the speaker's handle, it's a normal flexible belt strap that you can switch and adjust, which is a big change.
The casing is now a flat rubberized material, with five slight creases for each of the keys. You'll notice up and down volume keys on the left side, as well as a dial icon. The right side has the control button and the Bluetooth pairing button, which you will do need to use when you first pair. Placed under a tiny fold is a mini USB port for storing, and a built-in cord is used to support the sides of the device.
PERFORMANCE
The JBL Clip 2 enhances the already excellent performance output of the first Clip, offering outstanding audio, long-range, and bass for a compact speaker. The JBL Clip 2 sounds especially robust on vocal harmonies, due to the clear long-range frequencies that other tiny speakers ignore. The consistency is particularly visible on instrumental tracks.
The JBL Clip 2 provides a fantastic sensation of bass intensity due to its magnitude but will start scratching at the edge of the saturation at the peak of the volume. It is not shocking, but those hoping for a good bass performance would need to invest more on a speaker with at least a large adaptive amplifier to raise any of the minimal frequencies. Nonetheless, for a speaker of this magnitude and weight, JBL Clip 2 does a praiseworthy job of transmitting a minimal frequency range.
BATTERY-LIFE
Battery life is potentially one of the most significant improvements. For most speakers of this type, the battery capacity of 5 to 6 hours is deemed very normal, but JBL says that the new Clip 2 can give you a good 8 hours of continuous playback, which a huge deal is given the previous version dropped out at only 5 hours. The extra boost in the battery makes this speaker a lot simpler to endorse now because it is truly functional for a large part of the day.
WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY & SPEAKERPHONE
The JBL Clip 2 is effectively compatible with iPhone and Android smartphones. JBL does not specify the signal range, although it is reported that it is beginning to split up around Fifty feet from the origin, which is an upgrade from the initial version. The JBL Clip 2 does not provide tone changes or an interface for additional functionality. You can couple two Clip 2s together by holding the Blue tooth key for Five seconds on each side.
The JBL Clip 2 does indeed have a speakerphone that can be useful to have on a device that's too easy to handle. You may hear more clearly from many users than the incorporated-in iPhone speaker. The Clip 2 microphone is a bit smoother than the iPhone, but still, it's worth considering.
BOTTOM LINE
When you're searching for an exceptionally-portable Bluetooth speaker that charges least and is readily accessible on the market, Clip 2 is a perfect choice. It is water-resistant, easy to use and carry, has a decent battery life, and it sounds amazing. Many ultra-portables appear to disintegrate when it comes to sound quality, but the Clip 2 provides quite a consistency.
