According to research, it was hypothesized that therapy dogs can improve the psychological well-being of children going through cancer and Post-traumatic stress disorder. 

They are not only incredibly lovable and fun but can also help people remain in good physical shape. They help to eradicate loneliness from one's life. Their love and affection are enough for one. They make an unbreakable bond with humans in no time; all is because of their loyalty and selflessness. They are a generous creature made to help people. Take one walk with them for better health.

Just like humans, there are several types of dogs. They have different breeds. Each one has its uniqueness and characteristics. Keeping a dog is a dream of many but they are needed proper attention and care. We have to give them the proper time and take care of them.

Husky dogs are one of the famous and most demanded breeds in Pakistan. They are very costly but the people are ready to pay any cost as it’s worth it. Keeping them is a tough thing to do. There are different breeds of Husky dogs which include Alaskan Malamute, the Siberian, the Alaskan Husky and others too.

Breeds and Temperament

The Alaskan Malamute

It is a symbol of the state of Alaska. This husky is the most ancient breed. This is named after the clan which has a similar name; this bred seems to be the breed of two different types of husky dogs but it is wrong. This breed is particular. This breed started in an area called Newfoundland which is in Canada, yet the Labrador Husky took an alternate way from the very start. The breed is average to enormous pooch which imparts numerous similitudes to different huskies, including a thick coat, unlimited vitality, and even personality.

As all breeds have unique characteristics. This breed of Husky is much tall and heavy than the other breed that is Siberian striking, crawls from twenty- three to twenty- five, it weighs in between 75 to 100 pounds. They are highly-priced in Pakistan but are worthy to keep.

Malamute Huskies have a shaggy tail and however amazing, they dig instead over jumping over fences because of their sharp paws. This canine likes going on hikes but be careful as they might harm other species of dogs, however steadfast to his friends. In summers it’s difficult to take care of Alaskan malamute because of their double coat.

Temperament

They are intelligent, strong and playful dogs if they are properly trained. They are great exercise partners. They enjoy the company of humans. They are brave and naturally strong-willed. Despite being confident and strong they like to follow their alpha leader. They are one of the oldest breeds in the world. They are generally not aggressive but it is not definite. They can be aggressive if provoked. If they fight it will always be serious and blood will be shed. They are dangerous and by nature and can be destructive.

The Siberian Husky

Siberian huskies are also called red huskies and white huskies. As you can understand by the name of Siberian husky that t belongs to Siberia. This breed main purpose was to take sledges across freezing land for a living. In Alaska, the main Siberian Huskies landed as hustling hounds, the acclaimed as Balto, the dog that turned into a star. They are medium-sized and highly-priced.

A Siberian husky is delightfully adorable. It moves with its companions when in search of prey. They shed not once, yet two times every year.

Siberian incorporates the Akita or Schipperke Husky, they are the mixture of different huskies including the Siberian. It is a combination of two different breeds.

Temperament

They are gentle, kind and friendly. They are always alert. They love to go out as they are outgoing. It is a mature dog. They are affectionate and good-natured. They are good to keep in homes. They get along well with adults people and children. They are overprotective and loyal to the person they choose. They are jealous if others get along well with their owners. They are independent and stubborn as they are classic northern dogs. They chase cats and attack them.

The Alaskan Husky

They are gentle, kind and friendly. They are always alert. They are outgoing and will always be ready to go any time. It is a mature dog. They are affectionate and good-natured. They are good to keep in homes. They get along well with adults people and children. They are overprotective and loyal to the person they choose. They are jealous if others get along well with their owners. They are independent and stubborn as they are classic northern dogs. They chase cats and attack them.

Samoyed

It is mostly mistaken as a husky, but it isn’t a divergent husky breed. It is similar to other Husky breeds but it basically is a Eurasian dog.  An incredibly neighborly and approachable pooch, it is ordinarily observed as partner creature as opposed to working sled-dog.  They cost a lot.

Because of its working husky heritage, the Samoyed expects preparing to maintain a strategic distance from undesirable conduct. They don’t play with people. The thick layer on their skin protects them from cold.

Labrador Husky

Regardless of the way, they might look can be misunderstood by the crossbred of the Retriever and other breeds. They are a medium to huge canine breed which gives various likenesses to various huskies, including a thick coat, boundless vitality and even character. They are highly-priced.

Caring your Four-Legged Friends

Siberian Huskies are notorious. They are hard to train. They are a pack dog with a hierarchical order of headship and, therefore, are persistent, determined, and self-governing. They often bite injuries so the caretaker has to be careful.

Taking care of huskies is a very tough thing. Following things are to be done:-

  • Feed them thrice a day. An adult husky needs to eat two meals a day. Feed your husky three meals a day until three months of age, then two meals a day after that. High-quality dog food needs to be fed that is not full of artificial additives. Husky should never "free feed" at any age. Meals should be provided at set times.
  • Brushing the dog is important. They shouldn’t be given a bath every day hence they are to be bathed once a year. They are naturally clean dogs. They will train themselves, and have little smell. In the shedding season, brushing on a daily basis helps decrease shedding at home. Their nails should be trim short as they contain blood vessels.
  • Take the dog to the vet doctor often. Huskies' eyes need to be checked as they are often diagnosed by Cataracts, a film over the lens of the eye.
  • Huskies were bred as working dogs, so they are often bored if they do not have a task. To keep your husky happy, you will need to make sure it gets 30 to 60 minutes of vigorous exercise every day.
