Lychee (Litche) Overview
The lychee has an aromatic freshness of pulp that has the flavors full of tanginess, with the touch of acidic but more of sweetness. It sometimes spelled as Litchi or Litchi are usually found in Southeast Asia. It is an edible fruit of soapberry family. It can be consumed mostly freshly but sometimes dried and canned too.
Features
Generally, this fruit has been produced and consumed commercially, mostly in parts of Southeast Asia, in China and India. It has been said that its introduction in the western world came into being when it got popular in Jamaica in 1775, from where it got its commercial importance too. Around the Mediterranean, in Hawaii and South Africa, its tree started cultivated to a lesser extent.
This Evergreen tree that is developed collectively as a plant. The leaves of these fruits are usually composed of three to four pairs to lanceolate leaves that are 2-3 inches long. The flowers to lychee fruits are diversely clustered and in 12 inches in length. The fruits are developed in bunches and are oval or round in shape. This bright red fruit is covered in the delicate outer inside, which is having translucent white plumy fruit, which is edible and one large seed. Lychee is about 25 mm (1 inch) in diameter.
These are tropical plants that require frost-free tropical climate; climate should not be below −4 °C (25 °F), Humidity, rainfall, or either a high wave of summers. Organic soil rich in slightly acidic, and well-drained are perfect for the best growth.
