The Mercury Retrograde palette is titled after the tumultuous cosmic season and consists of a spectrum of colors influenced by the beautiful teal, pink and purple colors of Quartz AB. What’s Exciting & New?
Huda Beauty knows exactly what they're on about. This palette is a makeup artist’s dream one now! The dyes are so fantastic, super good to mix; a little bit goes a long way. The looks that you can make with this palette are just magnificent; every single color is amazing.
Like several other eyeshadows of Huda Makeup, the Mercury Retrograde palette comes with a range of matte and glittery shades, both deeply pigmented and convenient to wear.
The matte shadows are much gooier with an exposure that varied from moderate to translucent, some were more easily mounted than others, and some seemed to be more compact and applied that way.
Most of the glitters had a more moisturizer feel to them, like a mousse-powder blend, but were rendered and looked like powders when added to the lid. They performed better with smooth, synthetic brushes, which better and more uniformly picked up the creamier texture for implementation.
Popular shades of Mercury Retrograde
COSMIC
Cosmic is a vivid, light-medium pink with a soft, smooth undertone and a glossy glow. It had a more emollient feel, creamy but not too warm.
UTOPIA
Utopia is fair tropical with a mild, moist undertone and a matte texture. The eye shadow had formed-in pigmentation from mid-opaque to opaque in two layers, while the texture was smooth, slightly powdery, and the touch was pure when initially applied.
NEBULA
The nebula is a medium-dark lilac with delicate, lighter undertones and splotches of silver, gold, and lavender. It had an emollient consistency where the core seemed almost moist to the touch, and you could see the substance shift a little from side to side when squeezed closely with a brush or fingertip.
Ending Crease
This palette combined matte, twinkling, and neutral colors. The carefully cured palette is packed with easy-to-use variations of dusty bronze, pink flowers, golden taupe shades of purple and blue pops. The palette features a cosmic mix of whimsical fantasy like colors, mixing cool, warm tones to match the best of the extraterrestrial universe.
The color table of the range is a little all over the place when you first look at the eyeshadows, but the shades blend very well together. What's more, the pastel colors are in this season, so this palette suits the themes completely.
