You all are familiar with the washing machine and use one in your home or commercial areas, but the manual one can be time-consuming and not much of a helper to you.
The automatic washing machines are becoming popular more and more in Pakistan as people are becoming more familiar with it.
While asking for an automatic washing machine, you must have been confused about which one to choose either semi-automatic or fully automatic washing machine.
Both of these types of washing have their pros and cons, from which you can decide which one would be best for you.
Let's take a look at these types.
Semi-automatic washing machines
Mostly semi-automatic washing machines come with a two tub system, one for washing and the other for drying while some can have a single tub for both purposes.
Pros
- The semi-automatic washing machines do not need a permanent water connection and use less water in comparison with the automatic washers.
- The semi ones give a quick wash and let you control its cycles.
- These Semi-automatic washers are much cheaper and use lesser power.
Cons
- Semi washing machines need a little manual work in the shifting of clothes from the washer to dryer.
- It can take up more space due to its larger sizes and can be a hassle to move it in places.
Fully automatic washing machines
These do not need any manual intervention and comes in a single tub design for washing as well as drying purposes. The fully automatic washing machines also come in two types.
- Top loader
- Front loader
Top loader
The Top loader has two types: Agitators and Impellers.
Agitators have a pole type look with protruding fins attached to the bottom of the tub of the washing machine.
Impellers are rotating hubs having propellers at the bottom to move clothes in a washing machine.
Pros
- The top loaders have a short washing cycle, and you can also add clothes in between wash cycles.
- As the door is on the top, it is better for your back, and you don't have to bend to get your laundry in and out.
Cons
- The top-loader uses a lot of water.
- Top loaders having agitator can be rougher on your clothes.
- Those with impellers tend to tangle your clothes.
Front loader
The front loader opens from the front, and its drum rotates to clean clothes.
Pros
- The front loaders have lower ongoing costs.
- Front-loaders are more water-efficient.
- Most Front-loaders come with a built-in heater.
- Gently and thoroughly washes your clothes.
- Have more cycle settings.
Cons
- Have a high initial cost.
- Have to bend your back to get clothes in and out.
- Cannot move easily from one place to another.
There are many top brands in Pakistan like Dawlance, Haier, Kenwood, Super Asia, etc. that offers a wide range in Semi and Fully automatic machines.
Personally, I would suggest you to get a fully automatic washing machine as no manual intervention is required in these. But if you are low on budget, than Semi-automatic world is the best choice for you.
