Advantages
Advantages of GTX 960 are:
- There are 2.94 billion transistors in it which are 43% less than GTX 980.
- CUDA cores are reduced to half, taking the number down to 1024.
- TAUs and ROPs number are increased half as much with 64/32.
- The maximum boost clock is slightly lower than that of GTX 980 at 1228MHz.
- Memory bus width has been reduced to 128-bit which decreases the bandwidth to 112GB per second, which is exactly half of the GTX 980.
