Brazilian government took an initiative to preserve its annual coffee harvest which was going in surplus. From there, nestle started to work on a coffee brand in 1930. The development project was led by Mr. Max. After severe headache, testing, and researches, on 1 April 1938, nestle was able to launch this new product under the brand name of “Nescafe”. It was as early as the 2nd World War, when this soluble powdered coffee, Nescafe became a staple in America.
- “Nescafe Gold” was introduced by Nestle in 1965. It was a freeze-dried coffee brand targeted in the European market.
