Nikon D500 Overview
Introduction
Nikon D500 release date on January 6, 2016 and was announced by the Nikon Corporation as a replacement to Nikon D300S was Nikon's DX-format Flagship. Nikon D500 lens is interchangeable with Nikon F-mount with the Sensor of Nikon DX Format at 23.5 mm x 15.7 mm CMOS; 4.2 µM pixel size and a Sony Image sensor. The maximum obtainable resolution is of 5,568 x 3,712 (20.9 Megapixels Sensor). The Nikon D500 Recording Medium is an SD/SDHC/SDXC (UHS-II) and XQD.
Nikon D500 Focus Modes are Instant Single-servo Auto Focus along with Continuous-servo Auto Focus and a Manual Focus. The Exposure Modes are Programmed Auto with a flexible program, Aperture-Priority Auto, Manual Focus and a Shutter Priority-Auto with a Three mode through the lens exposure metering.
Nikon D500 Flash is of the external type. Nikon D500 Shutter is an electronically controlled vertical-travel focal-plane shutter with a shutter speed range of thirty to 1/8000 seconds. Nikon D500's continuous shooting rate in raw is from 10 to 200 frames per second. Nikon D500 shutter delay in release is the first of its kind to introduce this mechanism, to allow the compensation for the flickering of the electric light when compared to the D5, until it was added through the firmware update.

Cons
A commonly reported problem in the D500 functioning is that the Nikon EN-EL15 battery is shipped with the current Li-ion20 version. If the Li-ion01 version is used, this will result in D500 reporting low charging after a couple of shots. Nikon announced the replacement of EN-EL15 Li-ion01 with the EN-EL15 Li-ion20.
